McChesney-Jaeger CSM-SSM Single Cigarette Machine

     

  • State of the art manual cigarette smoking technology for analytical and toxicological studies.
  • Portable, modular system and allows for simple operation
  • Various protocols, flow rates, regimens, cigarette sizes, and tests are supported, including FTC and ISO requirements.
  • Cigarettes are loaded and removed manually, and lighted with an included butane igniter.
  • Uses standard cigarette holders with labyrinth seals.
  • Programmable controls are provided with JASPER Windows 9x/2000 software over RS-232 communication ports. Once programmed, system retains configuration and does not require a computer until a new protocol or experiment design is required.
  • Internal Power Supply configurable to various international voltages. Butane-propane gas (for ignition), as well as 5 bar of pressurized air must be supplied externally.
  • Designed by Steve McChesney of S&S Diversified; Fabricated in the USA.

Baumgartner-Jaeger CSM 2080 Smoking Machine

 

  • State of the art cigarette smoking technology for analytical and toxicological studies.
  • Transportable, table-top design groups all components and controls for simple operation
  • Various protocols, flow rates, regimens, cigarette sizes, and tests are supported, including FTC and ISO requirements.
  • Cigarettes are loaded automatically and lighted with either or both of two ignition ports (compatible with non-tobacco or heated tobacco technologies). Hopper holds approximately 400 cigarettes from 50-120mm in length, and is refillable while CSM 2070 is operating.
  • Uses standard cigarette holders with labyrinth seals, and standard filter pad holders for chemical analysis
  • Programmable controls on front of the unit feature integrated display and keyboard, for online protocol selection, data entry, and configuration.
  • Siemens C7 PLC includes data and control access via local area network (MPI/Ethernet) and/or RS-232 communication modes.
  • Internal Power Supply configurable to various international voltages. Butane-propane gas (for ignition), as well as 5 bar of pressurized air must be supplied externally.
  • Designed by Henri Baumgartner of Belmont, Switzerland; original designer of the Battelle-Geneva smoking machine. Fabricated in Switzerland.

  While the Amesa 1300C cigarette smoking machine is no longer available, CH Technologies USA in cooperation with Henri Baumgartner of Geneva has developed the new CSM 2070 Smoking Machine with unparalleled flexibility, capable of an ISO, FTC, or Modified FTC smoking regimen on a single machine.
